Centene Stadium Information
Centene Stadium is the home for the Great Falls Voyagers minor league baseball team. The original facility was built in 1940 with space enough to hold 4,000 spectators. The ballpark was known for having a picnic area and BBQ zone that would bring in fans for the best baseball tailgate parties in Montana.
The park is owned by the City of Great Falls and is leased to the Great Falls Baseball Club, a non-profit organization that agrees to allow local high schools to play and practice in the field. Usually, this isn’t a problem since the Advanced Rookie League starts late in June, so there has rarely been an issue with practice interfering with Minor League operations.
Three American Legion Baseball teams play in the park including; The Great Falls Chargers AA, Chargers A, and Chargers B. The previous names for these teams were the Great Falls Stallions, Electrics, and Chargers respectively, before the three programs merged into one organization.
Later renovations and updates have added convenience features to the ballpark at the slight cost of space, as there are now seats for 3,001 fans across the grandstands. But the value that the field offers to local sports teams as well as Minor League Baseball fans, has made it an important part of life in Great Falls, Montana.
